Pentosan Polysulfate reconstitution & storage

Pentosan Polysulfate is a sulfated polysaccharide medicine rather than a lyophilised research peptide, and this page does not give reconstitution or storage protocols. Elmiron is supplied as 100 mg oral capsules (FDA label). The injectable pentosan polysulfate used in the Kumagai 2010 knee osteoarthritis trial was supplied in sterile vials at 100 mg/ml, and the FDA label describes the active substance as a white, slightly hygroscopic powder soluble in water to 50% at pH 6.
